Liverpool, Lancashire, England. 1944-08-20. Following a special Dominions Service at Liverpool Cathedral, Air Vice Marshal Sir Leonard Slatter KBE CB DSC DFC, RAF Air Officer Commanding Western Approaches took the salute during a march past of two hundred RAAF, two hundred Royal Canadian Air Force and one hundred Royal New Zealand Air Force personnel. Behind Sir Leonard Slatter on the left is Group Captain Noel Heath, RAAF, of Sydney, NSW, who read the lesson at the Service.
