Description
A mobile canteen run by members of the Women's Auxiliary Service, Burma touring the forward airfields and isolated units of the RAF. Whatever the conditions or the risk these women stick to their motto - "The lads must have their char". As well as distributing tea, the library of books is also taken round and handed out to the men in the forward area. Group portrait of Mrs M. Rae, Lieutenant H. E. Ussher of Bangor, Northern Ireland, who is in charge of the mobile canteen and Sergeant Joan Griffin of New Delhi.
