Collection relating to the United Nations Special Commission (UNSCOM) service of Flight Lieutenant (later Squadron Leader) Peter John Bruce, Chemical Destruction Group, Iraq, 1992-1993.
Wallet 1 of 1 - Consists of four identification cards, a photograph and one aerogramme letter related to Bruce's service as a Deputy Chief Inspector with the UNSCOM Chemical Destruction Group in Iraq from 1992 to 1993. The collection includes Bruce's UNSCOM identification card, United Nations driver's permit, United Nations certificate passport, an identification card in Arabic, and a Christmas card Bruce sent to his wife and children with a photograph of the UNSCOM Chemical Destruction Group team members. The letter, dated 15 October 1992, was sent to Bruce from a friend in Melbourne. The letter discusses home news and the political climate in Australia.
