At sea, off the Queensland coast. 1939-03. On the deck of the SS Montoro, six members of the Darwin Mobile Force show their newly acquired tropical haircuts, completely shaven heads. The Montoro on this voyage was being used as a troopship to transport the Darwin Mobile Force from Sydney to Darwin.
