Balikpapan, Borneo. 1945-11-05. Scene inside No 5 Japanese prisoner of war camp in which 500 Japanese service personnel and civilians were being held at the time. The camp was under the control of Captain G.M. Bryant with guards from 2/33rd Australian Infantry Battalion. This photograph shows Private E. Lackey and Sergeant H. Eastwood collecting their laundry from a Japanese prisoner of war.
