Phan Rang, Vietnam. 1970-07-28. An H-model Iroquois, one of the two obtained in 1970 as replacement aircraft through the American supply system, taking off from Phan Rang after an overnight stop during its delivery flight from Pleiku to Vung Tau. Note the helicopter carries both the RAAF and US markings. This helicopter, A2-723, crashed the following June on operations in Vietnam. (Donor D. Hersey via CPE)
