Description
Diary describing Japanese air raids on Java, and the escape of 12 British and Australian airman in a lifeboat, the 'Scorpion'. During their 44 days at sea they encountered storms, were becalmed, were seen and allowed to proceed by a Japanese submarine, sharks and whales, boat repairs, rations. They were eventually rescued by a Catalian of the W.A. coast. Includes photograps, newspaper cuttings, map.
