History / Summary

Signalwoman Freda Joyce Wright enlisted in the Australian Women’s Army Service at Claremont, Western Australia, on 2 November 1942. After a period of training, Signalwoman Wright served with 16 Australian Operating Section in Western Australia and Victoria. She then went on to serve in Darwin, Northern Territory, between 19 May 1945 and 20 January 1946. Signalwoman Wright was discharged on 5 April 1946.
