A crew of No. 2 (Hudson) Squadron RAAF, in front of one of the Squadron's aircraft. Left to right: Sergeant (Sgt) W. Graham of Sydney, NSW; Pilot Officer (PO) J. Montgomery of Brisbane, Qld; Squadron Leader S. Austin of Trangie, NSW; Flying Officer (FO) I. R. Watson of McKinnon, Vic, and PO I. A. Sutherland of Vic. The Lockheed Hudson behind them, (constructor's no. 6494) is A16-241, which, on 28 April 1943, seven weeks after this photograph was taken, failed to return from a search for the crew of a missing Beaufighter. A16-241's crew were FO Ralph R James, Sgt Roy E Norris, Pilot Officer Ronald D Ryan, Flight Sergeant (Flt Sgt) Kenneth D Keech, Flt Sgt Patrick S Reen and a member of 2 Squadron's ground crew, Warrant Officer Harry E Cutten.
