Collection relating to the United Nations Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) and Multinational Force and Observers (MFO) service of O216393 Wing Commander Ballie John McKenny AFC, Kashmir 1975, Sinai 1985.
Wallet 1 of 1 - contains identity cards, a list of names, souvenirs, guidebook and photographs relating to Wing Commander McKenny's service with UNMOGIP and MFO.
Folder 1 of 2 - Consists of material relating to then Squadron Leader McKenny's deployment with UNMOGIP as Officer Commanding Detachment B, 38 Squadron RAAF, from March to October 1975. The folder includes McKenny's United Nations identity card, a nominal list of UNMOGIP personnel serving in Srinagar, a tourist brochure of Skardu in the Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan, a Christmas card to McKenny and his family from 38 Squadron's Detachment B in India and Pakistan, and a newspaper clipping on the deployment of the RAAF contingent to UNMOGIP.
Folder 2 of 2 - Consists of material relating to Wing Commander McKenny's service with the MFO in the Sinai desert of Egypt in 1985. The folder includes McKenny's MFO identification card, MFO vehicle operator's card, a copy of the MFO "Guidebook for MFO Members", and three black and white photographs of an aircraft flying along the Sinai coastline.
