Description
Manuscript titled `Tropical Paradise'. Describes the author's journey as he trekked through New Britain after the Japanese landed at Rabaul on 23rd January 1942. Detailed descriptions of evasion of capture, the terraine, being aided by natives, lack of food, and illness. Taylor passed through several plantations and villages, including Tol, Wide Bay, Kalai, Pull-Pull and Marau.
