Dark blue wool beret lined with black cotton. The brim is lined with black leather. Attached to the front of the beret with butterfly clips is a gold anodised aluminium badge for the Royal Australian Regiment. The owner has cut a piece of stiffened leather and placed it inside the beret behind the badge so that the beret beras the weight of the badge without folding over. There are two large black painted metal eyelets on the right side of the beret for ventilation.
