Description

Account of a small fighting patrol carried out by members of the 2/5 Independent Company against the Japanese in the Salamaua area. The patrol was abandoned following the Japanese attack on Mubo. Consequently the patrol spent five weeks avoiding Japanese patrols and eventually returned to Port Moresby via Morobe.
