Roper River, NT. C. 1945-08-24. Three members of the cast of the Ealing Studios film 'The Overlanders', conceived and directed by Harry Watt and shot on location at a site near Elsey Station. In the centre is the actor Chips Rafferty (real name John Goffage and who had served as an officer in the RAAF during World War II). An Aboriginal man is on the left.
