Accompanied by Mrs Churchill, Mr A V Alexander (First Lord of the Admiralty), and Mr Harry Hopkins (President Roosevelt's special envoy), the Prime Minister of Great Britain (Mr Winston Churchill) inspected defences on the south east coast. During the tour the party had a trip in a goods guards van. Left to right, the First Lord of the Admiralty, the Prime Minister and Mrs Churchill, on board, ready to start.
