Abu Hareira, Palestine. Abu Hareira, Palestine. Captured German photograph of enemy cavalry covering a retirement of their infantry. The large hole in the foreground is one of the very many that are used as water tanks by the natives. The bottom and sides are protected by a sort of concrete. The water is caught from the surface. In the distance our men can be seen moving forward to take up a fresh position. See also A00562.
