Description
Narratives `Water; a little known activity in battles' and `Poetry: Bunny Gordon opens a window in my mind', written by unknown author of 11th Field Company Engineers. First narrative describes the sappers' task of making safe the drinking wells and surrounding areas in recently captured territory, including detection of explosive devices and repair of sabotaged wells and water pumps. Second narrative describes guarding a mined bridge over a railway cutting near Daours with Bunny Gordon, who brought to the attention of the author the joys of poetry.
