Description
Probably Uijongbu area, Korea, c. 1950-12. A trailer-mounted apparatus consisting of a combination water heater and pump stands in the entrance of a large tent which has been set up by an American shower unit to enable members of the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), to take a hot shower. The apparatus is drawing water by way of a hose running into the creek in the foreground. Snow carpets the ground on either side of the stream, while two helmets lie upturned on the farther bank near where the hose enters the water.
