Description
An officer and a cook of the 2/1st Casualty Clearing Station (2/1st CCS) with two local employees in the hospital's kitchen in the convent Terra Santa (or Sancta) where the unit set up their hospital for the Syrian Campaign. Note the large cooking stoves. The convent was referred to by the Australians as "Sancta Casa".
