Description
Manuscript titled `Recollections of a Coastwatcher' by D.J. Bath. Describes role of the Coastwatchers, part of the A.I.B. Bath, stationed in New Britain and Emirau Island, was involved in coding and decoding signals to and from field parties and Brisbane Command. Mentions feelings of isolation, secrecy, disappointment at lack of recognition of Coastwatchers valuable contribution to Allied success in the South West Pacific Area. Includes copy of letter written to Minister for Veterans' Affairs, giving further details and history of the Coastwatchers.
