Describes role of FSW, duties at Tripoli, Safita, Battle of El Alamein, LWOP on compassionate grounds in Australia, action at Lae, Red Beach, Ramu Valley, altendance at School of Military Intelligence, and American Counter Intelligence Corps School in Hollandia, Morotai, allied landing at Balikpapan. Discusses effect of war on human spirit, experiences due to being of Italian descent, attitude towards Americans in Aust., misconceptions about the Japanese, difficulties of tropical warfare, and gives strong opinions about the dropping of the atomic bomb.
