Description
Anzac Cove Area (Gallipoli). 1915-11-28. Two wounded Turkish soldiers lie on stretchers after being dragged behind their line by members of No. 2 Field Company, Royal Australian Engineers. They had fallen over the Australian tunnel during fighting the previous night and had lain wounded in the extremely cold conditions dressed only in khaki drill. Note the graves being dug in the background and the crosses of the nearby cemetery. (Original housed in AWM Archive Store)
