Description
Trawool, Seymour, Vic. 1940-04. VX46983 Brigadier Raymond W. Tovell, Commanding Officer of the 26th Brigade, and two of his staff lying in a open field as they observe the progress of a troop training exercise. Note the riding boots and jodphurs worn by Tovell and the puttees on the legs of the man next to him. Both items of uniform were found to be unnecessary and quickly discarded by the 2nd AIF once it reached the Middle East. (Donor A. Tovell)
