Agnone, Sicily, Italy. 1943. RAAF personnel lifting a casualty onto the back of a truck, the casualty was involved in an aircraft crash that burst into flames on impact. The fire was uncontrollable and was fought by RAAF personnel. Several of the crew perished and others were badly injured.
