Description

The Women's Royal Australian Naval Service (WRANS) is taking part in the Navy's vital job of defending the seas. WRANS operate at Harman Naval Station, near Canberra. Standing smartly at attention, these WRANS are paraded for instruction in rudiments of field training. Identified on left in second front row is WR/1 Telegraphist Frances Betty Provan.
