Description

Probably Belgium, c. 1917. Two Lanchester armoured cars belonging to the Royal Naval Air Service occupy a deep trench. The car in front, on which one of its crew members is sitting, bears the name Cleopatra, while the one at rear is called Calliope. Set out on a bench on top of the front vehicle (left) are several dixies, an upturned mug, a glass and a jar, possibly of jam.
