Pilot Officer (later Flying Officer) Ralph R. James and his wife Beryl walking in a Sydney street shortly before he was posted to No. 2 Squadron RAAF at Darwin. Flying Officer James was killed in action on 28 April 1943 piloting a No. 2 Squadron RAAF Hudson light bomber over the Arafura Sea. (Original housed in AWM Archive Store) (Donor E. Williams)
