Description
Flying Log Book of No. 423596 Flying Officer William Alfred Andrews, documenting (i) his training in Australia with 10 EFTS (Elementary Flying Training School) at Temoa, 5 SFTS (Service Flying Training School) at Uranquinty, and with 73 OTU (Operational Training Unit) at Fayid (Egypt) (ii) service as a fighter pilot with 3 Squadron (RAAF) flying Kittyhawks and Mustangs in bombing missions over northern Italy targetting bridges and other ground installations between September 1944 and March 1945 (iii) training as a Flight Gunnery Instructor at the Advanced Bombing and Gunnery School at RAF Ballam (Egypt).
