Typescript account with supporting documentation relating to the activities of the 2nd Australian War Crimes Section which served in Tokyo, Japan, from 15 March 1946 to 4 January 1953 under General Douglas MacArthur, the Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers (SCAP). It was compiled by Beverley Durrant (nee Floyd), who served with the unit from 1948 to 1949. The supporting documentation includes biographical notes, photographs, reproductions of documents and newspaper clippings. It details the work of the unit in investigating, and prosecuting at US Army tribunals, suspected war criminals accused of crimes against Australian servicemen.
