Probably England, 1944. Formal oblique portrait in civilian clothing of 423561 Flying Officer (FO) J.P. (Jim) Sullivan, RAAF, a member of No. 622 Squadron RAF. The portrait, mirroring the style used for official portraits attached to personal identity cards in France, the Netherlands and Germany, formed part of FO Sullivan's escape kit in the event of his being shot down over continental Europe.
