Checking captured Viet Cong weapons are two members of the 7th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (7RAR), Sergeant Brian Walsh of Denman, NSW (left), and 2nd Lieutenant Jim Fitzsimon of Griffith, NSW. The weapons are a .30-06 calibre M1917 rifle and a 7.92mm Mauser German Model 98 which were taken from two Viet Cong brothers during Operation Lismore.
