Description
Small gold plated brooch in the form of a boomerang, with a red and blue enamelled 'Rising Sun' badge in the centre. The brooch has a brooch pin style fitting on the back.
History / Summary
Associated with 963 Temporary Corporal John Smith, who enlisted on 20 August 1914 in 2 Field Artillery Brigade. He returned to Australia on 20 November 1918. He had previous service as Gunner No 4733 in 10 Company, 1 Australian Volunteer Artillery (Victoria) from 18 January 1892 to 6 March 1895.
