Description

Phuoc Tuy Province, South Vietnam. 1968-08-12. Private Neil Edwards of Taree, NSW, assisted by Sergeant Alby (Dinger) Bell of Windsor, NSW, hook on a bulldozer for airlifting onto a US Army Chinook helicopter. The men are from the 176th Air Despatch Company, based at Nui Dat. Working at Fire Support Base (FSB) Pine, in north-west Phuoc Tuy Province, the Air Despatchers attached loads of guns and equipment beneath the large Chinooks for airlifting from one FSB to another.
