Vung Tau, South Vietnam. 1968-11. Private Clive Kennedy of New Lambton, NSW, waxes his surfboard down while off-duty before taking to the surf at Vung Tau. He is a member of the 1st Australian Field Hospital, one of the units of the 1st Australian Logistic Support Group (1ALSG) based at Vung Tau. The barbed wire in the background is part of the perimeter defences around the logistics complex. Note the sign `Prohibited Area - Keep Out'.
