Description
Collection relating to the Second World War service of 423361 Flight Lieutenant Donald Grant Uther. Collection consists of: (i) Pilot Flying Logbook outlining his service from his training at Temora (NSW) and MacLeod (Canada), described in a newsclipping, to service as a pilot of Wellington and Halifax bombers with 462 Squadron, particularly in bombing missions over German cities and industrial areas in 1944-45 (ii) personal letters to his family and letters to him from female acquaintances in Canada (iii) service and personal papers, souvenirs and a poem about 462 Squadron.
