Van Kiep, South Vietnam. January 1970. The Minister for the Army, Andrew Peacock, holding a can of VB beer has a chat with adviser, Warrant Officer Class 2 Rayene (Ray) Simpson VC, on a visit to the provincial Vietnamese Army Training centre in Phuoc Tuy Province, during his tour of Australian military bases in southeast Asia. Part of the staff of the training centre is comprised of advisers from the Australian Army Training Team, Vietnam (AATTV). WOII Simpson was one of four Australians awarded the Victoria Cross in Vietnam.
