Phuoc Tuy Province, South Vietnam. February 1970. Roman Catholic chaplain, Tom Shanahan of Tamworth, NSW, administers communion to soldiers of 5th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (5RAR) at Fire Support Base (FSB) Pat. FSB Pat was the forward base of the Battalion which was taking part in Operation Bondi, the unit's last operation in Vietnam.
