A platoon (5 platoon) from B Company, 7th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (7RAR), gather around Lieutenant Doug Gibbons of Greenmount, WA (with notebook and stick pointer), for a final briefing before moving out into the jungle east of the 1st Australian Task Force (1ATF) base. 7RAR had arrived on the troopship HMAS Sydney for its second tour of duty in the war zone. This first operation was codenamed Finschhafen.”
