Description

Copies of Army Garrison Artillery intelligence reports of Japanese air activity over Darwin, NT, and surrounding areas, including reports of air raids and enemy reconnaissance and associated sketch maps by the Static Heavy Anti Aircraft Artillery, for 19 February 1942 and various dates between 23 October 1942 and 21 January 1943. Many of the reports are signed by Lieutenant J. M. Best, Anti Aircraft Operations Room (Fortress). The reports provide details of enemy bombing raids and reconnaissance flights as well as damage and interception by RAAF aircraft. The top folio is labelled 'Appendix L' indicating the item is possibly part of a larger report, file or unit diary.
