Sadaung, Central Burma. 20 March 1945. RAAF member, 416582 Warrant Officer Herbert Johnson of Wirrulla, SA, a pilot in No. 89 (Beaufighter) Squadron RAF operating from an airfield in the Mandalay area, shot down two Japanese twin-engined bombers in one night. The following night, when he was attacking a Japanese truck, some of his shots went wide and exploded an ammunition dump.
