Private T. Karney of St George, Qld, a member of 7th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (7RAR), gives a farewell kiss to Miss Barbara Veness of Tallarook, Vic, before departing for Sydney with 550 members of the Battalion. The unit, based at Puckapunyal, entrained at Seymour and travelled to Sydney, where they embarked on HMAS Sydney for Vietnam.
