Phuoc Tuy Province, South Vietnam. August 1971. Diggers on patrol in the jungle of Phuoc Tuy Province have to contend with all types of terrain. Here, Private (Pte) Bob Wilkie of Kyabram, Vic, moves along a track surrounded by shoulder high grass and banana trees. Pte Wilkie is a member of the 4th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (4RAR), which was on patrolling and ambush operations in the far north-west of the Province.
