Vic. Paybook photograph of VX32514 Gunner Thomas Albert McNamara, 3rd Light Anti Aircraft Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery. Gunner McNamara, aged 33, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 29 May 1941. He was the son of Thomas Joseph and Beryl Sylvia McNamara, of Mildura, Vic. He is commemorated on the Athens Memorial Face 10. (Photograph supplied by the Army's Soldier Career Management Agency.
