WA. Paybook photograph of WX857 Private Alexander Young, 2/11th Battalion, Australian Infantry. Private Young, aged 35, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 30 May 1941. He was the husband of Clara May Young, of Narembeen, WA.
