Enemy strong posts along the sunken road captured by the Australian troops during the fighting for Pear Trench. This photograph was taken on the morning of the battle just after the attack had passed this point. Many enemy dead were left in the wake of the advancing battalions, and in addition there were 1,500 prisoners taken during the operation.
