Tsili Tsili, New Guinea. 5 September 1943. VX42706 Lieutenant (Lt) A. C. Clayton, 2/4th Field Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery, waiting to board a transport plane to take part in a parachute landing with a selected party from his Regiment with their 25 pounder guns, in support of American paratroops at Nadzab. This would be Lt Clayton's first parachute jump, and owing to him being a last minute inclusion in the party, he had had no previous instruction.
