Broadhead, Arthur Lindsay (Aircraftman Class 1, b.1910 - d.1994)

Bound notebook (190 pages, illustrated) containing handwritten technical notes and coloured diagrams kept by 34640 Aircraftman Class 1 (AC1) Fitter IIA (airframe) Arthur Lindsay Broadhead, RAAF. The notes were compiled on RAAF training course 99 Fitter IIA held at Ascot Vale, Vic, probably at the beginning of the Second World War. Topics covered include duties of an aircraft rigger, aircraft identification and components of particular aircraft. Other notes relate to theoretical aspects of flying and working with different types of metals.
