Description

Records of the Vietnam Veterans' Family Support Link Line (VVFSLL), comprising correspondence and mail registers, submissions to Government agencies and committees regarding veteran-related enquiries, minutes of meetings, newsletters and leaflets, membership lists, newscuttings and media material, and financial records. The VVFSLL was founded as a charity by Doreen Smith, Lorraine Simpson and Carla MacCallum (formerly members of the Vietnam Veterans' Association) to provide support and services to the families of Vietnam veterans and veterans themselves. Its activities included a telephone 'link line', making representations for and assisting veterans in contacts with professional services and Government agencies, and making submissions to Government committees and enquiries. The VVFSLL was discontinued in 1997.
