New Guinea. Private Walter Koch of Ohio is shaving while standing on a belly tank. A shelf has been attached to a tree holding his shaving kit and a hook from which to hang his helmet. Torrential rain flooded many of the USA 6th Army men out of their tents in northern New Guinea and gear had to be salvaged with the aid of belly tank rafts.
