The Beaufighters of Coastal Air Force have caused great havoc among the enemy shipping between Belgrade and Sombor, about 100 miles northwest of Belgrade, and have penetrated as far as Hungary. Targets among the shipping on the river have been, for the most part, barges varying between 100 and 300 feet and carrying oil, ammunition or supplies.
